Rock The Blues Summer Jam – Dickey Betts and More

We came across a few listings today for a tour billed as “Rock The Blues Summer Jam 2013” that features Dickey Betts & Great Southern, Fabulous Thunderbirds , Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Beverly McClellan.

This package tour is set to hit The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on July 26th and then The Paramount in Huntington, NY on July 27th. Tickets for the former go on sale this Friday, May 10th, at noon EDT; while the latter is on sale now.

Betts cancelled a few shows last month, declaring “The last thing I want to do is disappoint my fans, but right now I need to take care of my health first. I will be back on the road in no time!” All other Betts shows were expected to go on as planned.

We’d be surprised if these are the only two Rock The Blues Summer Jam 2013 performances, so we’ll be sure to update this post with further details as they are announced. Dickey and The Thunderbirds last teamed up in 2011.
